On inspecting the blank before turning, I expected many borer holes but the extent was not clear. On turning the initial cylinder it was evident that the borer holes were many and varied. I then decided to turn a basic vase shape. It was then hollow formed, sanded and polished with Danish Oil. The dark sapwood running between the top and bottom
